This is the Elect E Review. Today, a ranking of the 10 best retail analytics platforms for 2026, published by one of the 10. Here is what the piece actually is. It compares retail analytics software on four axes features, pricing, integrations, and fit for small and mid-sized businesses. It tells you where Electi sits among them. And it closes by asking you to start a free trial. Lead with the uncomfortable part because it's the whole story. The author is a contestant. Electi wrote the list and Electi is on the list. That doesn't make the comparison wrong, but it does mean there's a thumb resting on the scale. And the only honest way to read a piece like this is to assume the scale has been tilted until you can prove otherwise. So test it on its own criteria. Features and integrations are checkable. You can verify whether a platform connects to your point of sale, your e-commerce stack, your inventory system. Pricing is checkable too, as long as the published number is the number you would actually pay. Those are the parts you can hold to account. Fit for SMBs is the soft one. Fit is not a specification, it is a judgment, and it is exactly the criterion a vendor can define in its own favor. A small retailer's needs are narrow and specific: how many stores, how many SQUs, who reads the dashboard on a Monday morning? A list cannot know that. Only you can. And note the destination. The comparison does not end in a verdict, it ends in a free trial. That is the real argument of the article. Not that these 10 are the best, but that you should try one of them, this one. Vendor comparisons are marketing in the shape of research. This one is at least open about where it is going. Use it anyway. Ten named platforms with features, pricing, and integrations gathered in one place is a useful starting shortlist. Just do your own waiting, add a name or two the author had no incentive to include, and keep your hand off the scale. That's the review.
